The Punjab
government has issued SOPs for mass sacrifices and cattle markets. Cattle
markets will be set up outside the city limits, spraying will be done in the
markets, entry of children and the elderly will be prohibited, while SOPs for
bringing and sacrificing animals within the city limits. Have to follow
According to details, a meeting of the anti-corona committee of the Punjab
cabinet was held under the chairmanship of the Punjab Chief Minister.
It approved
SOPs for setting up cattle markets and making collective sacrifices at various
places
including madrassas on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. It was decided at
the meeting that cattle markets would be set up outside the cities while no
animals would be sold within the city limits.
The
Divisional Commissioners will identify the places for setting up cattle markets
outside the city limits.
Collective sacrifice will be allowed everywhere, including in
madrassas.
But SOPs have to be followed and permission has to be
obtained from the
commissioner. It is important to take care of
masks, gloves and social distance
in the markets. Children and the
elderly will be barred from entering the
cattle
