Lockdown across Punjab likely to extend till April 24.

prevention of corona virus, notification of 

extension to lock down in the province is expected to be issued soon, sources said.

According to the details, a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on the prevention of corona virus has been attended by the participants. Lock down in the province is expected to be extended and its notification up to April 24.
The meeting stated that violation of section 144 would not be tolerated. Corps Commander Lahore assured full cooperation on security measures. On the other hand, 216 areas of Punjab were sealed due to Corona virus. Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chauhan has said that 216 areas of the province have been sealed and declared as hotspot areas.
He said that according to the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the policy of cluster lock down is being implemented. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan further said that the four areas already sealed in Gujranwala and Gujarat have been de-sold. "All patients in the de-flooded areas have recovered.
They have called the next three to four weeks important and urged the public to remain confined to their homes. Considering that the number of Corona virus cases in Pakistan has exceeded 5,000, 254 more patients have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 14 more deaths have resulted in total number 86 and 1026 patients have managed to recover. One of the deceased died in Sindh 28, Punjab 19, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 25, Gilgit 3, 1 in Balochistan and one in Islamabad. According to the latest data, 57,836 people have been tested in the country so far. More cases have been reported only because of increasing number of tests. As many as 1026 patients have been recovered from the corona virus being treated in different cities of the country.
